The Role of Financial Sector in Supporting the Economic Recovery of CEE Countries

Department of Banking and International Finance will host an international conference on the topic above, on 10 and 11 September 2014 in Bratislava, Slovak Republic.

This conference is aimed at bringing scholars both from the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and other parts of the world to discuss the role of financial sector in countries of the CEE region in supporting the economic recovery from the economic and financial crisis. The financial sector of the CEE is known to have gone through substantial transformation as a result  of a broader economic and social transformation of these countries after the fall of the Soviet Union.
